Mrs. Melton and Coach Brandon Page traveled to Columbia, SC with a group of 8th-grade students to attend the Natural Resource Fest (NRF). Hosted by the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (DNR), the NRF is open to middle school students across the state who have an interest in diverse natural resource fields.
During the event, students participated in hands-on experiences and engaged in one-on-one conversations with professionals currently working in natural resources. Thoughtful questions were asked, meaningful learning took place, and students gained valuable new knowledge and insight into potential career paths.
