On Friday, January 30th, LMS and LHS Dance Education students from grades seventh through twelfth, attended Coker University's Day of Dance in Hartsville, South Carolina. The students took part in dance classes offered by the Coker Dance faculty and current Coker dance majors. Classes were offered in ballet, jazz, lyrical, West African, hip hop, improvisation, yoga, contemporary, and musical theater. The day ended with a showcase performed by the Coker dance students.
This was Coker's ninth year for their Day of Dance offered to schools throughout South Carolina with Dance Education programs in grades 4th-12th. Latta has been fortunate to attend all nine years and cannot wait to return for their tenth annual Day of Dance next year!
